2012 Regal 2000

2012 REGAL 2000

Think Big: an all canvas, bimini top with stainless bows, bow and cockpit cover comes included in the base boat; and the rubrail, drink holders, bow scuff plate, windshield stanchions, hardware and handrails are all stainless steel.  The 2000, at just over 20 feet, 2 inches, may be one of the smallest in Regal’s line up, but it’s one of the biggest on standards.

Regal FasTrac hull Design

IMTEC award for innovation from the National Marine Manufacturers Association.

The principle behind the hull is to reduce the surface tension while the boat moves through the water.  The full beam step forces air beneath the hull to reduce drag and friction while inverted strakes cause the boat to track straight and turn tight.  With a reduction in friction, the FasTrac hull is able to achieve higher speeds and better fuel economy than boats of equal size and propulsion.

“At full power, We recorded 54.7 mph, a good turn of speed that can be attributed to Regal’s FasTrac hull, a stepped-hull design that decreases the wetted surface area.  This improves fuel economy, too.  Even at mid-range speeds of 20 to 43 mph, the engine was getting 4 mpg or better.”  – Trailer boats on Regal 1900 equipped with Volvo 4.3L GXi V-6
